The Real Me by Natalie Grant

So many people feel like this. They want to be known and loved for the real person within. I pray God will touch your heart with this song and give you courage to be who He designed you to be - the real you! Blessings!

We were grateful to have the generous help of friends and brothers & sisters as well. We could not have accomplished such a move without them - thanks so much to you all!

We needed a .....MASTER PACKER

Our challenge was to get everything out of the house and into the trailer. We needed a MASTER PACKER - Joel came just in time to meet the challenge - our HERO!!!

September 2008 - THE BIG MOVE - to Louisville, Kentucky

Moving from Connecticut to Kentucky was a big task - first we had to sort and pack boxes. The living room was a great place to do that. The walls started to disappear and be replaced by boxes!

Precious People From February-March Trip To Austria

We started the ministry this time at the Mics home.
They are Romanian refugees who have built this
beautiful house with few resources, hard labor, and
prayer. We prayed for God to bless their home and
use it for His purposes and glory.

A new ladies group Sharon shared with in Himberg. They all attend a new Church being planted in Schwechat. One of the ladies is expecting twins in the summer. She was not certain that they would be healthy. Many people prayed and believed God to answer.

THEY ARE HEALTHY!!!!

PRAISE GOD!!!

February 2008 Ministy Trip - A Map of Austria - Where God Sends Me

Here is a map of Austria. You can see the town of Baden in the East just south of Vienna. Near Baden is Tribuswinkel where Sharon stays with the Schaffer Family who have made their home available to her to use as a base for Ministry.

This is 30 Erlenweg, Tribuswinkel and the center for our Life Connections Ministry in Austria.

From here, Sharon travels and ministers to small and larger women’s groups, Bible Studies, and counsels individuals as well as couples in the areas of Baden, Vienna, and Klosterneuburg which is Northwest of Vienna.

These ladies attend a women's Bible Study in Baden and are eager to hear how they can know God better and experience His life. They have a desire to reach their neighbors and friends with the Gospel.

Traisen is near Linz. This Women's Bible Study reaches out to neighbors, family and friends.
One precious woman from Kosovo has come to know the Lord and continues to grow in her new found faith in Jesus Christ. It is joy to see the women open up and receive God's Word and apply it to their lives.

The Freie Christengemeinde (Free Christian Church) has invited Sharon to speak each time she has been in Austria since 2006. Last time in October, 2007 Martin and Sharon brought a message together on the theme "Are you living under the spirit of slavery or the spirit of sonship?" The sisters and brothers in this church have a desire to reach their community for Christ.

Please Pray as Sharon Ministers in Austria from February 14th to March 10, 2008

Our ministry is called Life Connections because we pray God will continue to use us to connect people to God who is the Giver of Life. As we know and walk with Him, we also become Life-givers in this world. There are so many who struggle and think they are living but do not know real Life. That is why God is sending me again to minister His love, truth, mercy and grace to people in Austria. I will be flying on February 13th and return on March 10th, 2008.

Please pray for God to connect me with the people He is calling to Life and to fit into His agenda for this time.

Van Horn Ministry Trip - June 2007

Sharon & Bekka

Ministering to the wounded……….. Sharing God’s hope of healing

(BEKKA): In His Word, God tells us: "Delight yourself in [Me] and [I] will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4).
My dad taught me a long time ago that God actually places those desires inside of our hearts. In the case of my mom and myself, He has placed within us a desire to minister to wounded people. Because God has placed these desires in our hearts and wants to see His people healed and restored, He has opened up another opportunity for us to minister in England and Austria in June 2007.

God has really been teaching and equipping us for what I believe is a new chapter in our spiritual journey with Him. For the past year, I have been working with under-prepared students at a small, private college. I was hired as a Writing Instructor/Specialist, but God’s plan has been so much greater than I could ever have imagined. He has provided several opportunities for me to fearlessly share my faith with some of my students. He has also allowed me to serve as a counselor and encourager to a number of students—particularly those considered the most “mischievous.” God has truly granted me favor in their eyes to the point where, in their own words, “We’d do anything for you, Bekka,” even if it means abstaining from the “things of this world.” I have also been serving as a high school youth leader for the past couple of years, which provided a spiritual training ground for me. I am looking forward to utilizing my experiences to minister to the youth in Austria and England, where I am set to speak to young people. I believe God is expanding my generations.ministry and wants to use me to impact future

(SHARON): “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven…..” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

As I walk with the Lord each day and seek His wisdom and direction, I have been learning the importance of recognizing God’s timing in matters. There are two types of time. Chronos is time as we experience in everyday life. Kairos is time when God breaks in and does something supernatural. I have experienced such a time in the past few months as God has led me into a new season. I have been serving Him for the past eleven years through Milligan’s Island. There have been countless Kairos encounters with people in the secular marketplace, as God used me to bring hope and encouragement into the business world.

After finishing my daytime job, I have often counseled young people, adults, couples and families. I have used lessons I learned through the Bible, as well as my training as a Victim Chaplain, to coach and mediate contentious relationships. Even though Milligan’s Island served as my full-time job, counseling has really been my heart’s desire – to see people experience freedom and healing, enabling them to grow, develop, and become all God has destined them to be.

As I took on more counselees, I prayed God would allow me to minister to the wounded full time. God clearly answered my prayer. At the end of 2006, He directed me to prepare for a new season and pray for prayer and financial partners in this ministry. The Directors of Life Connections, Inc. followed the pattern of Acts 13:2 and “set me apart to the work the Holy Spirit has called and prepared me to do” on April 30th.

There are many counselees who cannot afford a counselor or mediator but need help dealing with the trauma and abuse they have endured. On behalf of individuals such as these who cannot afford to pay for the help they need, I am praying for sponsors who (through God’s leading) are willing to help pay for the counseling these people require.

Please pray and ask God what part you have in this ministry. He will direct you. I would appreciate knowing His response to your prayers. Thank you.
